It can be overwhelming when we first start to realize the scope and scale of what is happening on our planet and the impact it is having on humanity – specifically our own families. We can take practical and proven steps to counter chronic dis-ease. Just like when one of our children is not well, our intuitive nature kicks in and we instinctively react with the quickness that only a mother can muster.Â
More mothers today are on a quest for natural solutions than ever before as increasing numbers of children are reacting to exposures to our toxic environment from conception onward. It is important we learn ways to minimize the impact of toxins on our bodies and reduce the stress bombarding us on a daily basis…and HEMP (commonly referred to as CBD today) is at the top of the list.
So exactly how did we lose access to this healing plant over 125 years ago? Interestingly enough, the controversy around hemp arose in America during the 1930’s due to propaganda created from companies with vested interest from the petroleum based synthetic textile companies, like Dupont Chemical, who patented its new plastic fiber nylon in 1937.Â
Hemp was on the verge of becoming “the billion-dollar crop” as an article in Popular Mechanics wrote in 1938 just as the United States government, under the influence of the lobbying of synthetic textile companies (aka DuPont) and several other powerful groups who saw hemp as a big threat to their businesses. They proposed prohibitive tax laws and levied an occupational excise tax upon hemp dealers (similar to what is happening with Big Pharma today). 🤔 So it’s no coincidence that hemp production was banned altogether and other countries around the world followed the American prohibition under the Opium and Narcotics Act on August 1, 1938. The medicinal properties of hemp have been known by indigenous people since the beginning of time and it’s the only known plant to be grown from the Equator to both the Arctic and Antarctic Circles. A 1988 ruling cited marijuana, in its natural form, as one of the safest substances known to man and no one has ever died from the use of marijuana in over 6,000 years of recorded history – unlike alcohol and other drugs.Â
Thousands of products are now flooding the marketplace with the recent deregulation of hemp. Click here to see the hemp products I use for my family. It is extremely important to only use clean products that are grown organically as hemp is known for its detoxification abilities. As it grows, hemp removes harmful chemicals and pollutants from the soil. The stem and leaves of the plant are full of nutrients like nitrogen and oxygen that break down and enrich the soil. The cost of losing a crop in today’s world can cause financial ruin – so even small batch local farmers often resort to the use of pesticides when their crops are invaded by mold or spider mites.  It is essential that you only use products for you and your family that are third party lab tested as hemp goes right to the brain. If a product has heavy metals or pesticides it can be doing more damage than help. As the demand for hemp increases, more regulatory practices will be implemented but for now, the due diligence of the consumer is essential to ensure the impeccability of the hemp products being ingested. Be sure the product comes in a glass bottle, has all of the ingredients clearly listed, and most importantly has evidence of reputable third party lab reports. You can usually find them through the company website or by calling the company directly.Â
The healing power of hemp is undeniable as the scientific research begins to surface. Hemp has become a natural solution for many of the ailments our children are facing today: epilepsy, concussions, learning disorders, anxiety, autism and gut issues to name a few. In 1992, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Dr. Lumir Hanus along with American researcher Dr. William Devane discovered the endocannabinoid anandamide – what many of us now know as the endocannabinoid system (ECS).Â
The term CBD has been trademarked by Big Pharma (GW Pharma) and they are launching synthetic products it in the marketplace like Epidiolex which has been reported to cause liver damage and suicidal thoughts–the opposite effect of full or broad spectrum CBD oil.CBG is the latest of the cannabinoids to hit the market and is known specifically for bone growth, nueroregeneration, brain health and spinal cord repair. When we feed our endocannabinoid system nutrients like CBD and CBG, our bodies come back into homeostasis.
Watch internal medical doctor, Dr Mary Clifton, explain why our Endocannabinoid System is so deficient. After 25 years of practice she started using cannabis with her clients 5 years ago and created the Cannabis Info Website documenting all of the current research.
“Cannabis consciousness” is emerging at the most stressful time on the planet when our bodies are in a constant state of fight or flight. Hemp is the new revolution! Health Freedom is our responsibility as informed parents!Â
